Founded in 1987 by the pianist Mariel Bossert, Lyrica Chamber Music is a non for profit concert series based in Chatham Township, New Jersey. For over twentyfive years, Lyrica has brought musicians of national and even international renown to Morris County audiences, and has synthesized a broad range of musical activity into its mission. Lyrica administers an annual Young Composer’s Competition, produces large ensemble concerts with the Lyrica Chamber Orchestra, sponsors masterclasses in area schools, performs educational Interactive Performances for underserved audiences, features its artists in local retirement communities, and partners with local nonprofits and other community organizations.

The Sundays@3pm concert series has long been hosted by the Presbyterian Church of Chatham Township on Southern Blvd., and Lyrica remains committed to providing the highest quality chamber music for the lowest possible price. Lyrica has consistently provided opportunities for young artists and composers to work alongside established colleagues. Currently serving as CoArtistic Directors of Lyrica Chamber Music are the conductor/composer Adam D. Waite and the pianist David Kaplan.

The mission of Lyrica Chamber Music is to nurture and grow the audience for live classical music in Morris County and surrounding areas.

This mission will be addressed through four key initiatives:

  1. Staging performances by world class artists in a local venue at affordable ticket prices.

  2. Integrating music education in our programs to broaden understanding of classical works.

  3. Partnering with local service and educational organizations to reach a diverse audience.

  4. Providing an opportunity for young artists and composers to work with established professionals.
